S.L.Y. is surprisingly different: 4 musicians on stage: 3 drummers, 2 pianist, 4 guitarists, 4 singers, mandolin, violin, Fender Rhodes, mouth harp, kazoo…
The band S.L.Y. started in June 2007, when Benno and Matt met up with Jeroen and Justin to talk about the idea of forming a band that would wake up the music business with a new approach.
Already there was musical material waiting and in August 2007 the band started rehearsing.
When Matt finished his tours with Magna Carta and Justin came back from his training in South Africa, S.L.Y. picked up rehearsing at the end of December. In between they’ve recorded some demo track and prepared themselves for their school concert (This part of our site is in Dutch only. Love the music Matty - it is fantastic. All good, but love the drums, percussion and bass. I hope you are bringing a cd with you in December? Take care.
